Answers to the questions you might have

WHAT IS THE ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE PERFORMANCE OF SAXCELL?

The waterconsumption of the current SaXcell recycling process is reduced to 10-12 l/kg as opposed to over 2000 l/kg for conventional cotton. The water, chemicals and heat used in the process is re-used. We keep on developing our process to further improve our environment and climate performance. SaXcell has commissioned a Life Cycle Analysis (LCA).
Upon request we can share this LCA. 80% of a product’s environmental impact is determined in the design phase, ingrained into the chosen materials and dyes. Choosing material made from SaXcell fibers will significantly reduce your product’s environmental impact.

WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF FIBERS, YARN OR FABRICS MADE FROM SAXCELL?

SaXcell fibers are strong and soft at the same time. The fibers have a much better dye uptake than conventional cellulosic fibers (cotton). Please refer to our technical brochure for more specific information on our fibers. In any case the characteristics of SaXcell fibers are as good or even better than conventional cotton.

DO YOU SELL FIBER, YARNS OR FABRICS?

Together with our supply chain partners SaXcell sells fibers. We do have partners who also spin SaXcell yarns. Depending on the customer demand we can sell SaXcell fibers or the yarns.

WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF FABRICS MADE FROM SAXCELL?

The quality of the fabric depends on many variables like the % SaXcell fiber, the type of yarns used, the way the fabric is woven or knitted and finished. Please let us know the products you want to make and we can advise you accordingly.
