Image Description

We are proud to introduce you to our new CEO Erik.

He is an ambitious ecologist an entrepreneur.

He is a chemical engineer, has worked as a leader for new production and design in international companies for 10 years. After this he worked for 25 years in his family owned company Wevotex as managing

director. Wevotex is delivering home textiles to hotels and hospitals. Because of the high volumes of cotton in their product offerings, He came in contact with SaXcell which is the ultimate recycling solution to solve the waste problem of end-of-life textiles. The SaXcell concept fascinated him from the very beginning and in 2019.He became more involved as Wevotex became one of the new shareholders and he was offered a position in the SaXcell board.

After our former CEO Gerrit Bouwhuis decided to take a step back after a long intensive career, he asked Erik to take over his position as CEO.

Erik says he’s proud of it, then he cut other activities, to be able to give full attention to SaXcell.

And here is the Erik’s goals for Saxcell by Erik’s words:

We want to make a substantial and measurable sustainability impact by making our innovative SaXcell fibres from end-of-life textiles. Next year we want to build a 3.000 ton/year pulp factory and also make SaXcell a well-known brand name. On longer term the concept can be copied to more pulp factories via joint-ventures or license strategy.
